So I finally watched My Sister's Keeper tonight and i am pissed! I'm one of probably many too. I actually read the book before the movie even was made and was hoping that it would somewhat be true to the book... Well it wasn't!
First of all the relationships in the book where mostly ignored... Ana and Campbell, Campbell and the child welfare lady, Jesse and his father, the mother and father (like no mention of problems until he threatens divorce over the beach).
I will not go into all of the mistakes (was even willing to forgive those omissions as long as the ending was right) but will be going into great rant about the ending so if you are not interested or are still planning to read the book stop NOW!!!!
So in the book ending Ana wins her case after it was let out that Kate wanted all of this and is riding home with Campbell when there is a car accident and Ana dies! Therefore it is Kate that lives on and not Ana as Campbell gives permission for Kate to have Ana's kidney (as he knew that was what Ana would have wanted)
But in to movie Kate dies and that's it! They grow up and are all ok!
It Sucked!!!!
